Overview of Project

Rainbow Blinds were contracted to work on the University of Strathclyde’s new learning & teaching building in Glasgow following successful tender submission to main contractor Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice was built in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow with patients moving in following two years of construction, completed in September 2018. We commenced our part of the works in July 2018 and completed in August 2018.

The project consisted of the supply and installation of Silent Gliss Tracks, Blinds and Curtains package. In total 107 blinds and 92 pairs of curtains were installed and completed on time.

The blinds in the package were a mix of 4910 Chain Operated Roller Blinds and 4960 Banded Double Electric Remote Control Roller Systems. Of the curtains, sixteen were Silent Gliss’ 5600 Electric Remote Control Operated Curtain Tracks.
