Client/End User: Glasgow School of Art

Contractor: Direct (Via APUC Framework)

Year of Project: 2019

Overview of Project

In 2019, Rainbow Blinds were awarded 1st place on the current APUC Framework Agreement for Window Coverings (REF FFE1002-AP) as part of a consortium with two of our sister companies. One of the projects won through this agreement was to supply, deliver and install blinds for the Glasgow School of Art’s Stow Building.

The recently completed installation of 155 heavy duty Silent Gliss roller blinds was part of the GSA’s refurbishment of the former Stow College building in Garnethill, Glasgow.

As manufacturers with over 28 years production experience, we were able to use kits to assemble Silent Gliss blinds at our production plant in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire. As a back up in case of emergency i.e. fire or water damage we have 2 alternative production plants in Stirling and Kingswinford that can be used to supply the blinds instead. Another recognised benefit of being part of a larger group.
